Directions from Faro

• Exit out of Faro airport on N125-10 heading towards the IC4 and A22 following signs for Lisboa & Portimão.
  
• Merge onto IC4 and then join the A22 heading west towards Lisboa & Portimão. The junction onto the IC4 comes with little notice so stay aware.
  
• Keep on the A22 until it ends and becomes the N120.
  
• Stick with the N120 all the way to Aljezur, it's the first town which you get to and it is very obvious when you've reached it.
  Note: Sat Navs try to take you on a back road detour around the outskirts of Aljezur, it's probably easier to stick to the main road until you are through the town.
  
• At the top end of town there is a sharp right turn to cross the river and then about 300m further on there is a roundabout, take the first right towards Monchique (N267).
  
• Our turning is on the left a tad over 1 mile (1.7km) from the roundabout.
  
• It is helpful to look out for the turn off immediately before ours which looks like this.

• Our turning is not so obvious but it is the left hand turn immediately after you've crossed the very discrete bridge over a small river. Our track makes a crossroads with another narrow road on the right; which also helps to spot where it is.

• The villa is situated on your left about 1 km along the dirt track, you first pass a villa on your right and another on your left before reaching the white gates of Vale do Pereiro.  The track is 'rustic' but drivable if you follow the tracks left by other vehicles.
  
• The drive up to the villa is guarded by an electric gate (which we'll arrange with you a means to open). You then just need to negotiate the driveway along its snaking climb up to the villa. Park the car around the back of the villa under the car port to keep it cool away from the sun.

Note: If driving down from Monchique and you are using satnav don't be persuaded to access the villa from the eastern end of the track; always take the track from the western end by the river bridge.
